My Superwoman

My Superwoman raises, feeds and home schools five children ranging in age from 12-2. Dinner is ready when I get home and she always makes sure I have clean clothes and my lunch is ready for the next day, all before she washes the dishes , gets the kids ready for bed and we have family devotions and , and ,and I think you get the point.

When she finally gets to bed  it is usually well after 10:00 and then the race starts all over again. My Superwoman makes meals when people are in need and laments that she can’t spend more one on one time with me or our children or her brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews.

My Superwoman is not afraid to tell me  when my actions don’t match my words and is completely sold out to pleasing God ( which is a virtue). My Superwoman is the most beautiful woman I know and she’s Super smart too. I love my Superwoman.

Computers are great :)

I haven’t updated for awhile now and this passed Friday seemed like a night I might be able to but, the computer said no. To be more clear my hard drive died. Usually this wouldn’t be that big of a deal since I have recovered data from many hard drives in the past, however I have a Mac and  don’t  have the software to extract the precious data. Fortunately  for me I was able to contact my friend David who has tools of this kind on hand. Long story short All my data was able to be recovered and as you can tell I’m back in business.I will update again once all is completely restored and back to normal.

Gingerbread

GingerbreadToday  turned out to be a weird day since church was canceled. We had a service of our own this morning which ran a little over because somebody who will not be named (me) spoke on various issues  to long as is usual.  Becki made gingerbread dough yesterday and we ran out of time to make the cookies and the house so we decided to make the cookies today.  More post on the house to follow.

One year old

As you can see in this photo Samuel is a terribly neglected little brother. Notwithstanding we decided to celebrate the lad’s first birthday today. His three sisters and brother were more excited about today than he was. The moment he opened his eyes this morning he was serenaded by the quartet. I am not sure he understands what all this means but I know what it means to us. We are getting old!!! LOL. Our little man is getting older and time is definitely moving fast. As I write this he is still awake (apparently determined to celebrate well into the morning hours) “discovering” DVDs and CDs and kissing his mother gently on the cheek. That’s our boy.

OK, call it a comeback

It has been over a month now since my last post so I guess this is officially a comeback. Here is a picture of our little man on Christmas Eve trying to walk for the first time. Four days from now it will have been a year since Samuel was born. That’s incredible. One year ago today Becki wasn’t even having contractions as Sam was enjoying his last days nestled in her womb. Now he’s running around trying to talk and making his little trucks go vroom. Our God is truly an awesome God.

Don’t call it a comeback

It almost been a year since I even touched this blog. That is more than a shame and sort of defeats the purpose of even having a blog right? Well it’s a new year and I am a new man. OK maybe not a new man but, I am nine days away from being an older man. Thirty-one sounds so old. Anyway I plan to post more often this year so expect great things in the upcoming days and weeks. I think I can. I think I can. I think I can.

Samuel’s Growing

Samuel is now 10lbs & 3oz. he is growing so fast it is hard to believe. His face has changed so much. He is very popular in the Branford household and is hardly ever by himself as his brothers and sister’s and parents smother him with so much love. It is amazing that I somehow love him more and more each day. Loving him more than I do right now seems impossible.

Samuel Philip Branford was born yesterday February 17,2007 at 2:16 p.m. He was 9 lbs and 3oz and 21.5″ long. Becki did a great job. The Lord gave her the strength we prayed for. The kids are excited and want to be in his face all the time and are being helpful to Mommy. That is a good thing. Kenny is a very proud older brother and the Deja,Leah and Grace are proud older sisters. Becki and and I are blessed to now have 5 beautiful children that are truly a gift from God. Praise the Lord!!! He’s cute too. LOL.

Here are a few pictures of my beautiful family. I love them and cherish them beyond expression. One of them is not visible with the naked eye. LOL.
